Our client is located in North London. The area has an abundance of development planned and already their Development Management team is receiving high volumes of applications. You will be joining one of the largest and most forward thinking local authority planning teams in London that treat contract staff as they do their own permanent staff so you will get excellent career opportunities and your development and training will be fully supported.
The roles on offer are all in the Development Management and Enforcement team and these include 2 x Planning Officer roles, a Senior Planning Officer and the Development Manager position. All contracts would be for a minimum of 6 months and could extend well into 2017. Working within this team you will lead on more complex applications with responsibility to manage your own caseload and be a main point of contract for working with developers on PPAs. Our client is keen to give people the chance to take on roles with a high level of responsibility and you will be expected to show enthusiasm towards further development of your own skills while within this role. You will work on Major and Minor Planning Applications.
To apply you will need to have a good level of technical knowledge with a strong awareness and appreciation of the unique challenges faced with development within inner London in a heavily populated and very diverse Borough. Ideally you will be RTPI accredited but it is not totally essential and if you are working towards this then you will be fully supported.
The roles are based in North / Central London and will be offered on a 35 hour week contract. Rates are negotiable but we would expect a minimum of £20 p/hr and for the Development Manager post up to £65 p/hr DOE
