04 Feb Associate Planner Opportunity in Reading
Our client are a nationally significant Town Planning consultancy with a countrywide presence. They are a very busy, driven and socially orientated consultancy who are looking to increase their team of Town Planners in their Reading office with the addition of a Planning Associate. Business is booming and they struggle to turn work away so it’s very much a work hard/play hard culture. Profit share is in place and they appreciate and reward hard work.
The team are currently working on a broad variety of multi-scale residential, mixed use and retail projects alongside commercial developments, brownfield regeneration and community projects and they are looking to appoint a Planning Associate who can come straight in and manage the delivery large scale projects with the support of a hard working team of Planners and Senior Planners.
As well as cooperating and communicating with your team and existing clients, you will be expected to develop relationships with new clients and hold a successful track record in bidding for and winning significant projects. It would also be beneficial to have an existing network of clients. On a daily basis, you will be required to manage a large team of experienced and junior Planners so must be a skilled communicator and delegator.
We are looking for someone who is fully MRTPI chartered, has considerable planning experience including residential project experience, have excellent project management bid-winning skills. Candidates must have experience as a fee earner and should be ambitious and driven.
All candidates should naturally be committed and have an eye for detail, comfortable taking the lead and have a strong ability to use their own initiative. All candidates must also hold a full UK driving licence.
Salary on offer is very competitive and includes car allowance, pension scheme, profit share scheme and much more.
Ideally, applicants will have 6+ years consultancy experience and must have a solid background in medium to large scale residential projects.
