ABOUT THIS ROLE
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to fill the role of Associate Director or Director to lead the UK Climate Resilience team. This position offers a very exciting opportunity to work with high-profile blue-chip companies across the investment management and commercial real estate sector and to drive real impact to our planet and its people.

Our client is an independent, pan-European sustainability consultancy specialising in the commercial real estate sector. Their clients include real estate investment organisations, such as Schroder Real Estate, Aberdeen Standard and Deutsche Bank.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Core responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Growing a best-in class consulting practice across existing and emerging solutions, including net zero carbon and broader climate resilience strategy, as appropriate
• Leading consulting service delivery across UK and Pan-European clients through effective interface with key stakeholders across the business
• Leadership of the UK Climate Resilience consultancy team
• Leading major bids, key sales and account development opportunities to cross-sell and upsell services
• Profit and loss accountability for the team with responsibility for sustainable revenue and margin growth in line with business targets
• Reporting to the our clients Board on key objectives, metrics, progress and opportunities
• Leading the development and sharing of best practice to support international regions as we continue to grow


ESSENTIAL SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

The right candidate must have the following essential skills:
• A passion for furthering the ESG agenda with a proven level of deep industry experience in energy and net zero carbon
• Solid understanding of the real estate investment management industry
• Strong leadership and talent development experience within a Consulting division or business unit
• Deep experience of successfully running major consulting programmes, with full P&L accountability, using well recognised industry standards and disciplines
• Highly quantitative with demonstrable evidence of running profitable services or lines of business
• Highly competent in defining and reporting on key objectives and performance indicators
• Critical thinker to uncover and synthesise key improvement opportunities to drive change across the business
• Ability to lead and motivate teams
• Exemplary influencing, written and oral communication skills
• Degree or Masters in engineering, architecture, mathematics, geography, environmental studies or related technical subject

 

DESIRABLE SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
We would also love you to have the following skills:
• Good understanding of software and information technology
• Experience in developing combined service propositions and sales support (such as Consulting and Software as a Service-SaaS)
• Industry speaker in area of subject matter expertise
• Author of published works on sustainability disciplines
• Experience working across different countries and cultures
