Senior Building Performance Engineer
Location: Bath, Edinburgh, Leeds, London, Manchester

We’re recruiting on behalf of an industry-leading global consultancy known for delivering exceptional, sustainable solutions across the built environment. With a portfolio that includes groundbreaking projects such as a net-zero pavilion in Dubai and cutting-edge developments in the UK, this organization collaborates with some of the world’s most prestigious architects. They’re also active contributors to the UK Green Building Council, advancing initiatives like social value, circular economy, and net-zero renewables.

As part of this innovative team, you’ll work on diverse building typologies—both new and existing—across the UK and internationally, contributing to high-profile projects with a focus on sustainability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and delivering Net Zero building solutions
  • Energy modeling to inform architectural and building services design
  • HVAC and building simulation for operational energy optimization
  • Thermal comfort and daylight analysis
  • Parametric façade modeling
  • Renewable energy systems and decarbonization strategies
  • Embodied/whole life carbon analysis
  • Energy audits and post-occupancy evaluations
  • Presenting to clients and design teams

What You’ll Bring:

  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • A collaborative, team-oriented approach with innovative problem-solving abilities
  • Expertise in building simulation and energy performance optimization
  • Familiarity with ASHRAE 90.1 modeling standards
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the field with a STEM degree
  • A passion for advancing Net Zero Carbon in the built environment

Desirable Skills:

  • Professional qualifications (CIBSE, ASHRAE, IMechE, or similar)
  • NABERS-UK Assessor certification
  • ASHRAE Building Energy Modelling Professional Certification
  • Experience with energy audits and system performance analysis
