04 Jun Energy Manager Job – Corporate / In-house
Lewis Davey is delighted to be looking for an experienced Energy Manager to work in-house for a large corporate that benefits from an extensive and varied property portfolio of largely retail and leisure sites across the UK. This is a London based role paying c.£50K + Benefits.
This is a multi-site corporate energy management role, where the successfully applicant will report directly into the Group Energy Manager. Alongside the Group Energy Manager, you will be the go-to person for Energy & Carbon Management in an environment where there are numerous stakeholders. It’s therefore nature that you will be expected to have a flair for winning hearts and minds as well as being able to deliver more technical energy management work including the construction / project management of energy efficiency retrofits.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for assisting with energy procurement, carrying out billing management, management of energy retrofit projects, assist with ISO5001 and 14001 accreditations and compliance with CRC, mandatory reporting, ESOS and EPBD. You will also take a leading role in implementing a continuous energy audit and review programme.
Applicants will be welcomed from those who have worked in Energy Management in a large business environment with prior experience of commercial buildings and ideally within the retail sector. You will be able to demonstrate an ability to drive both behavioural and technical improvement from “the boiler room to the boardroom” and should be able to lead and motivate teams to deliver energy savings.
Holding a relevant degree in energy management or engineering, you should be accustom to identifying energy savings, ideally hold CIBSE, EMA, Energy Institute or similar membership and have a comprehensive knowledge of energy and carbon legislation such as the CRC, ESOS and EPC’s.
