26 Feb Energy & Sustainabiity Jobs and Market Update
Okay I’m jumping the gun here as it’s still February but March has a warmer feel to it and the spring sunshine and longer days can’t come sooner enough.
It’s been a busy start to the year for the Cleantech & Sustainability team at Lewis Davey. We barely had time to digest our turkeys since our phones were ringing first thing on the 4th January. We’ve been digesting the recent announcement from DECC and DEFRA in regards to their next 5 year strategy and amongst some ugly announcements around nuclear and fracking that echoed Amber’s resetting of the energy strategy last year, we did pick up on the continued push towards demand response which I earlier tipped for being a big market this year. We starting to witness that in our current job openings – we’ve got a number of Smart Energy roles resolving around DCC and the roll out of a huge amount of meters in a relatively short space of time…Good luck to everyone involved!
We’re also lucky enough to be working a number of Associate/Director level roles presently for a range of businesses looking for expertise across sustainable development/planning, sustainability reporting and large scale infrastructure environmental sustainability experience.
Keep an eye on our website, we are very close to a nice, new, shinny one which will have a wonderfully fresh looking job board on the back of demand from our network.
