Our client is a leading multi-disciplinary company who are known for their high quality, solution driven approach to their projects worldwide. As a company, they offer a diverse and exciting variety of services internationally both in the private and public sector. This consistent quality has led to our client winning major projects which is allowing them to expand and grow their business even further. Our client is now extending the exciting opportunity for a Director to join their UK based Geomorphology team either in their Lancaster or Berkshire office.
Our client is looking for a dynamic individual with experience in relevant fields whose skills and work ethic will complement their existing team. Good interpersonal skills will be required in order to develop a healthy and effective working relationship both with clients and colleagues and be able to be a motivational presence in the office environment. Technical skills with fluvial geomorphology and river restoration are essential for this role, along with the ability to manage projects and be capable of business development.
Key responsibilities for this role include direction of the projects within the team and taking responsibility for specific areas as part of a wider team. You will be using your technical expertise in the field of geomorphology to partake in a variety of geomorphological studies, and manage bespoke projects. Along with the technical side, it is also expected that the successful candidate will be able to both maintain and develop client relationships and through this and other means, bid and win roles for the team you lead. You will also be key in developing and building your team through assistant on projects and mentoring and will have the opportunity to liaise and work with teams in other work streams.
As this is a highly significant role within the Geomorphology team, our client is looking for the very best to join them. They are looking for somebody who has proven expertise in the field, with excellent communication skills both written and verbal. They need to have confidence in themselves and their team and be able to work effectively and efficiently to meet deadlines and arrive at solutions. It is important to be able to demonstrate previous experience of successful project management as well as technical abilities as both are essential requirements for this role.
