20 Jun Affordable Housing Specialist – Clientside
Our client is an award winning specialist residential housebuilder, with offices across the UK. They are a forward thinking and dynamic developer who have an extensive portfolio of varied and high quality projects.
They are currently looking for an expert in affordable housing to joint their in house team.
In this role you will be resolving affordable housing issues in order to enable planning permission to be submitted and determined in accordance with regional programmes and outlines. As an Affordable Housing Expert, you will be providing informed analysis of Local Planning Authorities affordable housing policies and using this information to create a quantified affordable housing solution that is tailored to the company.
This role will require you to be able to provide pre site acquisition advice, prepare economic viability appraisals, and prepare critical analysis regarding affordable housing issues for the planning strategy. You will be working closely with the councils in terms of establishing affordable housing requirements and promoting sites in the local plans. You may be required to provide evidence and attend appeals regarding developments, so previous experience in these areas is desirable.
You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be able to present yourself and your work clearly and with confidence. You will be communicating with LPA’s as well as different members of internal teams. You will be building positive working relationships with local authorities, affordable housing providers and land owners whilst also liaising and cooperating with varies internal departments within the company.
