Whatever your current situation, you may be interested to hear that a long-established and successful planning consultancy in Buckinghamshire is looking to appoint an experienced and ambitious Planning Consultant (this grade covers the equivalent of Senior and Associate Town Planner).
We are assisting in supporting and growing their business with the addition of 2 new appointments at Consultant and Associate Director levels.
The consultancy can boast a wide range of quality and often household name clients across the retail, residential commercial, leisure, tourism and education sectors, delivering the full range of planning and development consultancy services from site appraisals through to applications, appeals and general planning advisory services.
Due to their experience and high attention to detail, consultants in their company regularly succeed where others have failed, gaining approvals for complex and often contentious cases thanks to their legislative knowledge, diligence, positive working relationships and ability to work around problems to the satisfaction of all parties.
If you can offer high quality planning skills, are comfortable taking on projects part way through and working as part of a successful team then my client would like to meet with you!

Key candidate criteria includes:
- 2-6 years' experience (any more and you may be considered for the senior post within the company);
- MRTPI or on the chartership pathway;
- current UK experience in consultancy or local authority;
- strong technical planning skills are essential (development management);
- up to date legislative knowledge;
- good project delivery skills and potential project management skills;
- commerciality and a keen interest in building client relationships in time;
- an existing client base and work winning experience are NOT ESSENTIAL;
- real ambition and drive;
- driving licence.
Buckinghamshire area experience is not essential either as this consultancy delivers work across the country for a string of national companies as well as taking on more localised projects. Therefore, relocators or candidates who live in the area but currently commute into London (and no longer wish to!) are encouraged to apply.
