Description

Our client, an in-house advisory group of a major European fund manager, is looking for a data analyst, with a solid understanding of investment and/or portfolio management.  Working alongside analysts and portfolio managers, you will be joining a small but growing sustainability research team with a focus on ESG issues to assist in delivering our client’s strategic objectives.

 

This is a great opportunity for an accomplished data analyst / data scientist who has aspirations to work in a purpose driven role and have a direct and positive impact an sustainable finance and investment decisions specifically, by using your data analysis skills.   You will play an integral part in formulating and analysing ESG scores and continuing the market leading attribution analysis work that is indicating trends in company performance and ESG.

 

Largely, you will be responsible for the following: helping deliver the data analytics team’s requirements; the determination of the organisation, performance and write-up of data analyses; mining large datasets by cleansing, transforming and modelling the data; using statistical methods and programming language to analyze, interpret, visualize data and the results as well as diagnose any issues in the data; the data requirements, definitions, analytics and data insights of investment processes; explore the use of ESG data via AI powered solutions; contribute to the strategic development and planning of data analytics driven products.

 

Ideally, you will have: a degree with a significant research methods component or qualifications in econometrics, mathematics, physics, and/or equal experience in research or data analysis; 3-5 to years experience with analyzing and reporting data to deliver data insights; professional experience of programming languages such as VBA, SQl and Python.  You will be a solution orientated, self starter with excellent communication and critical thinking skills.  The ability to speak and write in French would be an advantage.
