An excellent opportunity has arisen for a “energy engineer” or “energy manager” with practical experience of developing and costing energy saving measures for typically large organisations.
You’ll play an integral part in taking energy projects, that have been identified through the consultancy team, through the project lifecycle from specification, design, installation, commissioning and handover stages. Projects could include BMS optimisation, LED roll outs and more.
Benefiting from an engineering background and exposure to energy efficiency projects, your typical duties will include; undertaking “investment grade” energy audits, estimating costs and paybacks, producing robust business cases, developing monitoring & targeting, undertaking some design and crucially reviewing designs of third party contractors, reviewing new energy saving technology and staying up-to-date with market developments and developing supply chain relationships.
Degree qualified in a relevant engineering bias discipline, applicants should be able to demonstrate Experience of design & modelling tools (such as AutoCAD, Design-Builder, Energy Plus) and ideally will have had some experience of working in a project delivering / project engineering / energy solutions capacity around energy management. Ideally you will have some experience of working on significant £multi-million project values and you will have some experience of working with and understanding mechanical and electrical energy systems within buildings; managing client relationships; identifying energy savings opportunities through systems analysis and specification, design; and implementation and commissioning of energy conservation measures.
