We’re delighted to be looking for an experienced Energy & Sustainability Manager on behalf of a forward-thinking business that is committed to the sustainability agenda.  With a commitment to Science Based Targets tracking 1.5c and a objective to be net-zero by 2030, this is a great opportunity to drive carbon and energy savings across their property portfolio, as well as contribute more broadly to sustainability strategy.

We are ideally looking for an Energy Management bias “Sustainability Manager” who can lead our clients leading net zero carbon strategy and also pick up on ISO14001 and 50001.  You’ll be at the heart of ensuring sustainability improvements across the portfolio to ensure the business meets its ambitious Science Based Target carbon reduction and energy intensity targets, collaborating with senior internal stakeholders across the business to ensure sustainability is embedded.

The successful incumbent will identify and deliver energy saving opportunities across the London portfolio, including business case development, monitoring and verification of reductions, and calculation of cost savings achieved.  You’ll share best practice across the team, including production of case studies and engage with key internal stakeholders to ensure their understanding and buy-in on sustainability, and the relevance of sustainability to the business’ purpose and vision.

You will also collaborate with Development, Engineering and Project Management functions to support the implementation of design for performance and soft landings processes on a pipeline of major projects and refurbishments and promote the sustainability credentials of assets with new and prospective customers.

You’ll provide a consulting service to existing customers to support their sustainability ambitions and ensure portfolio compliance with legislation such as ESOS, MEES and Heat Networks.

The successful candidate will also work with the Sustainability Reporting Analyst to ensure all forms

of internal and external energy and carbon reporting are completed; including quarterly internal

reporting against the corporate energy and carbon targets, provision of annual reporting data for the company's Annual and Sustainability reports; and for external sustainability benchmarking surveys and indices (including CDP, CRC, EPRA, DJSI, GRESB and REEB).

You will also work with the internal Energy Bureau team to assist with budget setting, budget variance and data collection. Provide energy expertise to resolve issues, including with regards to customer recharging.

With excellent numerical and data analysis skills, you should be experienced and skilful at identifying, communicating and acting on energy inefficiencies and operational improvements, influencing and motivating others to act on sustainability.

Please note that we will endeavour to review your application within two weeks and, if there is interest in your candidacy, a Consultant will be in touch. Unfortunately, due to the significant amount of applications we receive, we are unable to provide individual feedback so if you have not heard from us within two weeks, please consider your application unsuccessful.  Thank you for your interest.
