23 Oct Head of Product Development – Energy Efficiency
This is a stupendously exciting opportunity for a “Head of Product” to join an energy efficiency technology start up and play an integral part in taking our clients first product to the market within the next year. This is an innovative, disruptive and data driven proposition focused on residential energy efficiency with significant opportunities for scale and development.
You’ll be working with a talented team of developers, data scientists, marketeers, engineers and sales managers in a hands-on role, where there is substantial project management through the various phases of a product life cycle, from discovery and strategic planning, through to delivery and continued improvement.
We’re looking for a commercially minded individual with significant experience of developing customer-facing products and who will relish taking ownership of the entire product roadmap with responsibility for product performance.
The successful applicant will help to shape the overall product by gathering and sharing insights from competitor analysis, user research and qualitative and quantitative analysis. You will work creatively with users to get the fastest possible feedback on user features, using all the tools at your disposal. You be adept at creating detailed product specifications, project plans and delivering progress updates and creating and executing targeted improvement plans.
What’s more you will contribute to the go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute this. The successful applicant will play an integral part in identifying and mitigating operational, privacy and regulatory risks and impact and recruiting, mentoring and training junior Product Managers as the role and company evolves.
We’re looking for someone who recognises how tech can make a difference to people’s lives, ideally around energy efficiency and is passionate about understanding customer needs and converting these lessons into the product development.
You’ll benefit from a strong understanding of web, mobile and apps and possess an ability to converse with a technical team and sufficient technical knowledge to understand the technical resource required for a given product upgrade. What’s more, you will have a broad understanding and experience in delivering best practice product/technical development and demonstrable consumer or user-centric approach to product development in B2B and/or B2C.
Ideally you will have worked in a start up environment previously.
