Description

One of the fastest growing planning firms in the North West is looking to bring in a Planning Manager to lead the day – to day running of the planning team. The company has undergone growth in the last few years and this means that they now have a full complement of Town Planners working on a mixture of residential, commercial, mixed use and leisure projects inside and often outside of the North-West. The incumbent manager is stepping up and they are now looking for a people-focussed Planning Manager to help develop the staff, foster and nurture client relationships and play a pivotal role in the future of the business.
This is not a full business development role. This is a technical and staff management position where you will use your project management and inter-personal skills in the main.
Candidates should be chartered - MRTPI / MRICS - with significant planning experience gained in the public or private sector. Some experience of staff supervision is essential and excellent communications are needed. You will continue to manage your own projects but will do this with the support of a vibrant and ambitious planning team.
Some flexible working and a market leading salary is on offer for the right candidate. In fact many of the working conditions are negotiable for the right person.
The role is located in Lancashire and ideal commuting areas would be Preston, Lancaster, Blackpool, Wigan, Manchester and Merseyside. This is a management role but candidates who are stepping up to this level can also be considered at Principal Planner level.
