We’re delighted to be recruiting a Senior Sustainability Manager – Construction on behalf of a global and market leading construction business that is well respected for going well beyond compliance within sustainability.

Due to an internal promotion, an opportunity has arisen for a seasoned sustainability construction manager to join the business and play a leader role managing some of most sustainable construction projects within the UK.  You’ll be someone who is willing to get your hands dirty but who can also help support the wider team including team management.   You’ll be working with Director level stakeholders within and outside of the business and have a lot of autonomy.

We’re looking for someone who has prior experience of working within sustainable construction and who has previously managed teams.  Ideally you’ll have a good design background and exposure to green building certification (BREEAM, LEED etc.) as these projects are being built to BREEAM outstanding.

You’ll need to hit the ground running and be an outcomes focused individual – we need Sustainability Managers who are able to articulate how they have made the difference.

You’ll be an expert and able to promote innovation in a particular area of sustainability, such as waste, energy/carbon, water, responsible sourcing of materials, and/or sustainable buildings.  At the same time, you will be a pro-active generalist, able to cover all major issues of sustainability with all relevant stakeholders.  You’ll possess accomplished analytical skills and adopt a rigorous approach to data, league tables, KPI performance.

Applicants should hold a degree in a relevant discipline and be an Associate or higher level member of IEMA or similar professional body.  Certifications in BREEAM or LEED AP would be highly desirable.
