Lewis Davey’s sustainability recruitment team is delighted to be recruiting a Sustainability Manager to provide leadership and operational delivery of key environment and sustainability outputs for a prestigious and high-profile property portfolio in London.
As the Sustainability Manager, you will be seconded into client-account for four days a week and will be leading on key deliverables with regards to environmental and sustainability activities across property management and occupier services. This role will feed into thought leadership and knowledge sharing for expanding the client base and service lines.
Leading on the implementation and development of the sustainability strategy and new sustainability initiatives developed by the client, you will promote sustainable practice and propose opportunities to increase the effectiveness of sustainability integration across all aspects of the operations. You’ll also be at the heart of ensuring regulatory and legal compliance at project and corporate levels, to include compliance with S106 – you’ll lead on environmental compliance requirements relevant to building services operations and facilities management and demonstrate a good working knowledge of ESOS/Article 8, MEES, SECR, and all UK environmental legislation.
The successful incumbent will also play an active role in sustainability data – collecting, analysing and reviewing in relation to sustainability targets. You’ll also lead on reporting on social value data. You will project manage sustainability initiatives with a wide range of stakeholders, managing, driving and coordinating and championing new innovations in sustainability projects and there will also be an element of promoting and raising awareness and you will play an active part in organising regular meetings, overseeing the travel plan and working with occupiers to progress initiatives.
The successful candidate will also over the ISO 140001 system and represent the client at industry events.
Applicants should benefit from holistic knowledge of sustainability and wider environmental, social and governance issues for the built environment. This should include experience in ESG strategy, environmental management, energy management, waste initiatives, ISO 14001, behaviour change/occupier engagement, sustainable procurement, travel planning and environmental compliance.
You will hold a degree in a relevant discipline; Engineering, Energy Management, Environmental Sciences, Sustainability or equivalent and ideally will hold an MSC, MENG and be working towards qualified in IEMA, Energy institute or similar.
