A prestigious practice in the glorious Cotswolds is seeking an aspirational, well-qualified and commercial astute Town Planner to join their busy consultancy team at a time of sustained growth and success.
Key Candidate Attributes:
At least 18 months experience post-Masters degree;
MRTPI status or on the pathway to chartership;
Local Government or Consultancy experience;
Experience across residential and mixed use schemes is preferred although experience across other sectors such as commercial, retail, leisure, environmental or sustainability would be of value;
Interest or experience of masterplanning and strategic site promotion would be desirable but not essential;
In-depth and up to date knowledge of the UK Planning system is important;
Drive, ambition and commercial awareness are all essential requirements;
Confident verbal communication and excellent written skills;
Full UK driving licence - a car or car allowance will be provided.
This is a flexible opportunity for a Town Planner to take their career to the next level with a highly regarded planning consultancy who deliver a wide range of exciting projects across the UK.
Work will typically involve producing statements and applications for clients in the residential sector from single dwellings to 20+ unit schemes. Alongside this is the opportunity to be involved in major residential extensions, a new garden village scheme and a number of longer term strategic sites.
Involvement in business development and client development is encouraged early on, as is the desire to progress within the company as you prove your skills and develop your client base.
At Planner level, a salary of £25k - £30k is available plus a generous car allowance and a variety of other competitive benefits. There is also a bonus scheme which rewards personal and team achievements as well as an annual foreign trip and other team bonding incentives.
