Senior Town Planner, Gloucestershire

Senior Town Planner, Gloucestershire

Due to the expansion of our Gloucestershire based client’s planning and development division, we are looking to recruit a Senior Town Planner with a proven track record in technical and commercially driven Planning.

Our client is a medium-sized multi-disciplinary practice with expertise in Town Planning, Chartered Surveying and Urban Design. Their work focuses heavily on quasi-residential projects spanning from 2-300 units alongside a growing commercial client base and Local Plan site promotion.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, tenacious and commercially aware Planner to become a key member of the team and take a leading role in the strategic development of their Town Planning activities in the region. On this basis, our client is looking for a candidate who has excellent client facing skills and the ability to bring and maintain new business.

On a day to day basis, the successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of complex projects to include site visits, preparing planning documentation, development control, appeals and site promotion functions. Success in promoting sites into the Local Plan and experience in travel plan production/monitoring would both be advantageous, but not essential.

The successful candidate will have a relevant degree or equivalent and be a member of the RTPI and / or RICS (Planning Division) with a minimum of 3 years proven post qualification experience.

Naturally, excellent communication and project management skills are essential to a role of this nature but ambition, dynamism and an eagerness to shine and progress to the very top are equally important.

In return our client is offering a very generous salary package of £35-45k, and potentially more for the right candidate. The attractive package also includes 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays, private healthcare, fully funded CPD and gym membership contribution.

In addition, they are keen to offer flexible working arrangements where necessary and would consider a relocation package for candidates looking to move to the Gloucestershire area.

For further information and to have a confidential discussion please call Claire on 020 7859 4246, or apply by sending your CV to claire@lewisdavey.com.

If this role is too senior, too junior, or too far for you to travel but you are looking for your next role in Town Planning, please still call us – we are keen to discuss other opportunities with you.
